VIAHA Officers had a face to face meeting on June 29th, 2022 and VIAHA's current Vaccination Requirement was on the agenda.
ViaSport currently states that organizations like ours still have the choice to require members to be vaccinated. After some discussion, the Officers decided they would like to gather votes on the subject from the rest of the VIAHA Directors. Therefore, they were each asked to vote on whether VIAHA should keep its vaccination requirement (of volunteers needing to be double vaccinated) in place - or if it should follow current Public Health and viaSport requirements which no longer require it.
The vote was largely in favor of following the present Public Health and viaSport requirements; therefore a pause has been placed on VIAHA’s vaccination requirement.
VIAHA Staff will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 and should Public Health and viaSport requirements change again, you as MHA Presidents/VIAHA Directors will be asked to revisit and make further decisions as needed.
