NEW Referees

Here are the details for the upcoming in-person clinic that you can sign up for:

Who this clinic is for:

• First-year Level 1/2 and entry-level officials only.

• Child must be turning 12 years old by the end of December.

• Not for second years or above.

• For SMHA members only. (If you are outside SMHA and interested, please contact me first if you haven’t already.)

If you know of anyone within SMHA who is interested in officiating this year, please send them my way.

Please bring:

• Helmet

• Skates

• Pen & paper

• Snacks 

• Water Bottle

Provided at the clinic:

• Whistle

• Referee jersey 

• I will have Pizza and Liquids 

We’ll be walking together from the Sooke Minor Fastball Clubhouse to the arena and back. If parents can pick up the kids at the Clubhouse afterward, that would be much appreciated.

Please also make sure your child has a phone with them (or a contact number they can use) so they’re able to reach you when we’re finished.

The clinic is scheduled to run until 10:00 pm, but I don’t expect it to go that long. Please plan to pick up your kids around 8:00 pm instead.
